The Excellence in Construction Awards, established in 2000, recognizes outstanding projects in the commercial and industrial construction industry. Members in good standing have the opportunity to submit completed projects into the formal competition. Top scoring projects will be showcased at the evening program. In addition, winners are also given local and national media attention in the form of press releases, including features dedicated to the awards program in ABC’s Build Houston Magazine. Winners at the local level are eligible, and encouraged, to participate in the ABC National Awards competition.
We are currently accepting Call for Entries for our 2022 Excellence in Construction program.
This program celebrates the best of the merit shop construction in the region.
If you are a general or specialty contractor in good standing, we encourage you to apply!
Eligibility Requirements
Project(s) with a safety-related fatality, regardless of contractor trade, will NOT be considered. Submitted projects must be completed by August 5, 2022.
Projects built outside of Houston will be accepted if portions were managed through a member’s Houston office. All entries must follow the entry criteria. A non-refundable fee of $300 per entry is required at time of submittal.
How to Apply
All applications must be submitted through our new on-line portal – OpenWater. This customized software program was designed specifically for ABC chapters.
